There's stuttering and delays that make the cutscenes look like they're bugging out, and worst of all is how Captain Qwark looks like he doesn't have any pupils. Almost all of the cutscenes have weird glitches in them too. It was weird when it was happening in the first game, but the second and third games were able to be played in 16:9 mode when they originally released on PS2, so I don't know why some cutscenes were still in 4:3. I don't know why this is, or why it was done this way, but it was really jarring.

Some of the cutscenes play out in 1080p and look great, but for some reason others look like they play in 480i and 4:3 mode.

I've never encountered any other PS3 game that does this and it's very annoying.

In order to make sure the collection runs at 1080p, you have to go into your PS3 display settings and manually deselect 480p and 720p. On the PS2 Collection overall, I think the remasters are okay, but there were a few problems I encountered (nothing game-breaking, fortunately): There's still a consensus that either Going Commando or Up Your Arsenal are the best ones among the PS2 games, and I definitely enjoyed Going Commando way more than Up Your Arsenal. Overall, the game felt way too easy compared Going Commando though. They also introduced battle segments where you have an army of robots help you fight the enemy throughout the game, and it was alright. It also heavily focused on shooting more than platforming, which I was disappointed with, but the shooting mechanics are still top notch. Everything was tinted or painted in this yellow color and the UI was different from the first two as well. It was really different from the first two, though, and I was kinda surprised by that. Overall, it was a great game that I'm glad I replayed. It was pretty tedious but it didn't last that long and I still had fun doing them since they were pretty easy. There were some parts of the game where I kept dying over and over again, so I had to grind my way back to previous stages by playing the battle arenas in order to get more bolts to buy weapons with. It's downright difficult as hordes and hordes of enemies come at you, but if you have the right strategy/weapons, then you can make your way through the levels with a few tries (or you can glide past certain segments, forgoing said enemies). The second one is awesome! It throws everything it can at you, improving on the original in so many ways, from the health and weapon upgrades, to a good balance of platforming and shooting. There is quite a bit of fluff with extra side missions and racing mini-games reminiscent of 3D platformers in the 2000s, but they're not too terrible. The first one is still really good and lays the foundation for the entire mainline series. These games are still loads of fun to play! I just finished replaying the first two games in the Ratchet & Clank PS2 Collection for PS3, and also finished playing Up Your Arsenal for the first time.
